Wimbledon 2022 marks an iconic celebration of 100 years of Centre Court, the home of the championships. The occasion is also the 135th anniversary of Wimbledon, so a special one to attend!
For those with tickets, anticipating the courtside action or those who looking to spectate one of the many large screenings, we have put together a guide on the best places to get in on the action as well as of course highlighting what to wear to mark the occasion!
This years event will be running from the 28th of June to the 10th of July and there will be 675 matches played across 19 courts. With your strawberries and cream and glass of Pimms in tow, you can catch the courtside action from 10am each day. Attending the prestigious event is highly coveted so for those looking to purchase tickets, we will cover how you can get your hands on one.
As it is widely known, attending the event is highly competitive in itself. The ballot, which is the nation-wide ticket lottery has been paused as to give 2020 ticket-holders priority access.
You can find yourself official ticket reselling through the Debentures. The exclusive and authorised resale of the debentures see 5-year Wimbledon pass holders who are unable to attend selling on their tickets for other attendees. The price of these range from a mere £1000 up to £5000! So for those adamant on getting to see court-side action, the debentures will set you back a few grand!
For those wanting to obtain slightly more reasonably priced tickets, head over to Ticketmaster for resale activity.
Lastly, as quintessentially Wimbledon as Pimms, is the beloved queue. With a limited number of tickets available for the Centre Court, tickets to Courts 1 and 2 are available on the day. It may involve some camping and determination to get into the queue however you can find yourself waiting for upto 7 hours to get entry. You can also opt out of camping and get your hands on the few thousand grounds tickets that grant you access to the unreserved 3-18 courts, as well as the viewing screens on Henman Hill or Murray Mound!
The Wimbledon dress code is not as formal or specific as other sporting events such as Royal Ascot or Henley. However a general rule of smart wear, especially for those attending Courts 1 and 2 is encouraged. As is expected torn jeans, running vests, sports shoes and dirty trainers are not permitted.
It goes without saying the British weather should always be considered, so bringing along a jacket, as well as a pair of sunglasses is recommended.

For those attending the Centre Courts, formal attire is recommended and expected. We suggest opting for our Organic Twill Double Cuff Shirt in White and Organic Twill Shirt in Blue.

For those looking to attend the other matches and queue up for tickets to the unreserved courts, we suggest opting for our casual Royal Oxford button-downs. A button-down is always the best option when looking to retain a smart daywear look, without going too formal. Throw over a jacket or drape a pullover over the shoulders for that iconic preppy look.
Our 2-fold 100's organic cotton is simply the finest fabric for any season as it is the perfect medium weight. We suggest the following, paired with a beige chino or simple jean.
Within the Wimbledon grounds, situated near No.1 Court is the Food Village. There you will find an array of stalls and culinary cuisine for you to pick from. From full meals to snacks and drinks, it is the convenient option for finding refreshments.
You can also choose to sit in at one of the many restaurants such as the Conservatory Kitchen, Cafe Pergola, Wingfield Restaurant, Baseline Cafe and Baseline Grill.
For those in attendance to the courtside action or looking to view on one of the big-screens, we wish you a fantastic day out amongst the jovial sporting atmosphere!
